From a poll on Americans' predictions for the United States in 2007:
25 percent anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ.
19 percent think scientists are likely to find evidence of extraterrestrial life.
I know you can't put very much stock in polls, but still, of a random sampling of 1000 people, 25 percent (25 percent!) believe that Jesus will return in 2007.
Like Shrek.
This is the year! They can feel it!

What kind of polling firm thinks up a question like "Do you anticipate the second coming of Christ in 2007?"
"If so, how do you plan on celebrating the beginning of the end of the world?"
Also: I'm curious as to how scientists will find evidence of extraterrestrial life. Giant tripods aren't really buried under New Jersey.
Does Jesus count as an extraterrestrial?
