Up here for thinking, down there for dancing

Production is set to begin on Reno 911!: Miami. The feature will track the Reno officers as they visit a national police convention in Miami Beach at the height of spring break.

This will be the third film adaptation of a Comedy Central series, following South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut and the David Letterman-produced Strangers With Candy flick, which Warner Bros. decided not to release.

Stella at the cinema: awesome or asinine? Discuss.

I saw a commercial for a sport utility vehicle that changed the lyrics of "Money For Nothing" by Dire Straits from "I want my MTV" to "I want my MPG [miles per gallon]."

While that's not the most ill-conceived song mod I've heard ("Just bust a tunic!"), my ears still weep. Once a satirical response to pop star entitlement, now a cry for better gas mileage.

For shame, Sting! "I'll Be Missing You" wasn't enough?
