I wanted to sleep.
I had been up the past 36+ hours writing my last paper for college.
I didn't want to think about the Narrator or Tyler or Marla or space monkeys or lye burns anymore.
I just wanted to sleep.
I returned home from class and immediately plopped myself down on my bed.
This is the greatest moment of my life.
As I was about to pass out, my phone rang.
Me: Hello?
?: Jon, it's Jose. [see my 12.07.04 update]
Me: Hey.
Jose: I'm at the gym. You know the musical artist Fabolous?
Me: Yeah.
Jose: He's a rapper, right?
Me: Yeah.
Jose: Okay good.
I hung up and plopped myself down on my bed again.
All I wanted to do was sleep.
Sleep will commence in five.
Five, four.
Four.
Four, three.
Three, two.
Then my phone rang again.
You wake up, and you're nowhere.
A moment is the most you could ever expect from perfection.
Me: Hello?
Jose: It's me again.
Me: Yes?
Jose: Good Charlotte. Are they an alternative rock band?
Me: [pause] I-I wouldn't give them that much credit.
Jose: Huh?
Me: They're not really, but you can probably get away with describing them as "alternative rock."
Jose: Okay good.
I hung up and unplugged my phone.
You give up your worldly possession and fall asleep.

I fuckin' hate newspaper websites that require registration. I can never remember which user name and password applies to which newspaper website.
