My local public library uses radio waves and microchips to check out books. You place a stack of books on a glass plate and the system instantly recognizes each book – no scanning required. I wish someone would adapt this technology for supermarket self-check-out. Just put everything on a glass plate and pay, dummies. I'm tired of waiting behind you.
