TGIF VS SNICK
Friday, Nov. 2 & Saturday, Nov. 3

Channeling the inner recesses of our tv-addled brains, the Roxie seeks to settle the age-old question – what was REALLY better, the 1990 line-up of ABC's TGIF Friday night pre-teen programming block (Full House, Family Matters, etc.) or the absurdist oasis that was Nickelodeon's 1993 iteration of SNICK (we're talking CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL, THE ADVENTURES OF PETE & PETE, THE REN AND STIMPY SHOW and ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?). Complete shows both nights! Doors at 7:15pm, show at 8pm!

This debate boils down to Just the Ten of Us/Going Places vs. Roundhouse.

Did anyone like Roundhouse? For me, it was the Up All Night of SNICK.

Hi Honey, I'm Home! was television's first "instant" rerun. Each week, a new episode of the series aired on ABC as part of its Friday night TGIF lineup. The same episode would re-air Sunday night on Nickelodeon as part of the channel's Nick at Nite lineup. [source]

I was mighty stoked for the premiere of Hi Honey, I'm Home!. Alas, it is not even included in Wikipedia's TGIF lineup history.

The Brady Bunch Movie would later copy its premise. Trivia: Ann B. Davis appeared as Alice on Hi Honey, I'm Home! and in The Brady Bunch Movie.

Hi Honey, I'm Home! was produced at now defunct Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida. When I visited, I was disappointed to discover that the Slime Geyser outside was just a water fountain. My parents consoled me with a Huffy bike.

What ever happened to that slime fountain? Was it auctioned?

Idea: A Nickelodeon museum. Exhibits include: Slime Geyser, Aggro Crag, Wall O' Stuff…
