A cake from the past that never leaves you alone

I struggle with reconciling my friends' happiness being parents with my belief that having children nowadays is inhumane.

"What future do they foresee?" I wonder.

Then I remember that their children are all white and male.

    You are not wrong.
    The future's not looking so good for my white and female children. Were I a decade younger and discussing having children right now, I don't think I could bring them into the world as it is in 2022.

    But dammit I had a fun weekend listening to Kate Bush and playing the new TMNT game with my 10 yo daughter.

    All is not lost.
